Merry Christmas, Everyone!

The MSTP blog will be off for a short break
between Christmas and the New Year this week.

We wish everyone safe travels
 and good times spent with

Attendings We've Accidentally Fallen In Love* With: Dr. Crnich

Who is he?
One of the infectious disease attendings in the UW Hospital and a Big Deal in the Madison VA Hospital.

Why did we fall in love with him?
They say Dr. Crnich is incredibly intelligent and really good at the following things:
- thinking
- having a sense of humor
- pulling it all off despite the looming threat of physician burnout.
And for that, we admire him.

*Fallen in love in a strictly professional manner. Maybe we're star struck, maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome, maybe it's something else entirely. These are generally people who never once yelled at us. In any case, we greatly admire these men and women and wanted them to be happy for at least a brief period of time while they were in charge of us.

Within the UW MSTP, we have people across the entire

Attendings We've Accidentally Fallen In Love* With: Dr. Caldera

Who is she?
One of the physiatristy attendings over at Middleton Rehab.

Why did we fall in love with her?
Do you like procedures? Do you aspire to be a botox wizard? Because she will totally let the medical students assist with ultrasound-guided botox injections; it's kind of amazing. She's also one of the nicest people ever, so there's that.

Attendings We've Accidentally Fallen In Love* With: Dr. Maloney

Who is he?
One of the thoracic surgeons at the UW Hospital.

Why did we fall in love with him?
There is nothing more impressive than Dr. Maloney's extensive knowledge of movie and other unexpected pop culture references.

Attendings We've Accidentally Fallen In Love* With: Dr. Sattin

Who is he?
One of the stroke neurologists at the UW Hospital and the Program Director for the UW Neurology Residency Program.

Why did we fall in love with him?
Legend has it that he once sported a mustache and beard, which was greatly admired by at least one UW MSTP student. He also maintains a blog of his own, where the content is far more educational than anything on here.

Attendings We've Accidentally Fallen In Love* With: Dr. Belzer

Who is she?
One of the Internal Medicine primary care attendings at the UW Women's Health Clinic.

Why did we fall in love with her?
Dr. Belzer is one of the sweetest people to work with. Every day is an adventure in primary care made exponentially better by her awesome sense of humor. She's also known to feed the medical students the finest of candy and other edible treats on a regular basis.

Who is he?
One of the pulmonary and critical care attendings in the UW Hospital.

Why did we fall in love with him?
He once roasted an intern for wearing a silly tie, and it was amazing.
