Quick and Easy 1-Ingredient Recipes

We're all about wellness here at the UW MSTP.
For some people, wellness includes using only the
most uncooked of foods as a means of fueling
their bodies. Whether or not you're one of those
people, please enjoy this recipe for an amazing
one-ingredient raw vegan cucumber pizza!

The Amazing Dr. Molly Carnes Will Be Presenting At MSTP Seminar Today!

Students of the UW MSTP have been requesting a presentation
from Dr. Molly Carnes for years. LITERAL YEARS!
(Yes, she's that good and that busy.)
The wait is finally over, and we could not be more excited to hear her
speak on the topic of Women and Underrepresented Minorities in Medicine.

Tonight, 5:15pm, in HSLC 1345.

Killing My Medical School and Residency Interviews

Current students do not interview applicants who visit the UW MSTP,
so we cannot speak to whether or not exchanges such as the above
have happened during the past few interview visit weekends.

A Warm Welcome to Our Visiting Recruits

We have 15 spectacular people visiting the program today!

We hope you all enjoy your time with our program,
and when you get asked, "Do you have any questions?" for the
twenty-third time today, feel free to ask our opinions
on whether or there is such a thing as too much cheese.

When Someone Implies that I Might Have To "Tone Down the Weird" for My Interviews

Tomorrow evening kicks off the third UW MSTP
Interview Weekend of the season. We're looking
forward to meeting 15 awesome people, and we
hope they're all comfortable enough to be themselves
during their visit. No worries if that means being
a little weird or showing off some sweet style!

Attendings We've Accidentally Fallen In Love* With: Dr. Kemp

Who is he?
One of the inpatient pediatricians at Gundersen Health System in Lacrosse.

Why did we fall in love with him?
He lured us in with his friendly personality and wicked sense of humor and then kept us comung back with his complete and total honest recognition of the fact that not all medical students need to be pediatrics-destined in order to be worthwhile human beings. In our humble opinion, Dr. Kemp is far and away the best clinical teacher in Lacrosse. Seriously, someone give this man a teaching award.

Which hospital website gets credit for providing that sweet photo featured above?
This one: http://www.gundersenhealth.org/find-a-doctor/profile/evan-kemp/

*Fallen in love in a strictly professional manner. Maybe we're star struck, maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome, maybe it's something else entirely. These are generally people who never once yelled at us. In any case, we greatly admire these men and women and wanted them to be happy for at least a brief period of time while they were in charge of us.

Scenes from MSTP Retreat 2017

You may remember seeing Erin T. and Brett M. in images from
MSTP retreats of years past (for example, remember when they
were serving together as our awesome social chairs?). Four years
later and these two are still all smiles.
