Boldly informing you that this is technically NOT the "official" blog of the UWMSTP. Also informing you that there does not exist an "official" blog of the UWMSTP and that this blog is the only one run by actual UWMSTP students with an emphasis on UWMSTP-relevant content. Just sayin'.

Would You Eat This?
We're all about food and interesting new ways to
enjoy it here at the Blog of the UW MSTP. Recently,
Chef Dan Barber has been experimenting with way to
bring high class cooking to people using food products that
would otherwise have gone to compost, or worse, to waste.
Check out this collaboration between NPR news and
PBS News Hour to learn a little more about his methods.

Important Questions on a Day like Today
Are you still sleeping off the Thanksgiving food coma?
Are you scared that one of your patients will ask you
why they feel tired after sleeping more than usual,
and you won't have an answer?
Well, check out this video from mental floss
to learn a bit more about that phenomenon.

It's a Perfect Day for Active Wear
It's the day after Thanksgiving, which means Black Friday
sales and leftovers galore. It might even mean some active
wear for people who want to make sure that other people
perceive them as being pro-active about maintaining a
fit and healthy lifestyle despite yesterday's food-centric excesses.

Wellness Comes in Many Forms
Gentle reminder from the blog of the UW MSTP that
wellness and well-being are more than just checking
off whether or not you've engaged in "enough" of
the "right" healthy behaviors on a given day, no matter
how much your peers/colleagues/superiors won't stop
talking about how many miles they ran this morning/week/month.
And you folks out there who chug that kale shake
at 4am every morning? You're great. Your peers who choose
not to live that lifestyle? They are also great.
